A newly joined member of the San Rocco Society in the North End, Boston, contacted me regarding the need for a graphic designer to help refresh the organization's letterhead and logo which had been used for decades. There was only a hardcopy of the letterhead with the logo and address bar already printed on it years ago that existed. It had been scanned in and used in a Word doc for document writing. The client wanted to keep the new design similar to the old, yet, using a more modern font that would be PC and Word-friendly. The client also wanted to have electronic versions of the logo artwork available for things like screen printing on t-shirts, using on social media, etc. After showing the client several choices, we decided on Century Gothic regular and bold for the address bar. I made the logo in Adobe Illustrator using Century Gothic bold, created outlines, and provided the client .ai and .eps vector files that he can bring to any printer to in the future for whatever imprinting needs he may have. I brought the artwork into the letterhead template I created for the client in Word. The refreshed logo and letterhead is below:
